As a wellness industry expert for more than 30 years — from Nike Elite Athlete (Canada) to lecturing inside yoga teacher trainings — I have been guiding everyone from everyday seekers to high-level industry leaders. My work has taken me across the globe, including Presenting in Costa Rica at the United Nations sanctioned Gross Global Happiness Summit, where I presented on three separate occasions on the Alchemy of Joy.

My coaching blends ancient and modern wisdom, an approach I call embodied learning. In practice this means mapping signals from the body, and using breath, visualisation and subtle movement, to re-orient toward clarity and insight.

I am passionate about shifting the way we deal with each other and creating awareness around more human-centred, planet-oriented practices. At the heart of my work is a map that combines sacred geometry, psychology, and somatic awareness to support growth and transformation.

What clients tell me they appreciate most, is my ability to make the invisible visible — whether that is reading the patterns a body holds, uncovering what has been stifled in someone’s voice, or finding the thread of meaning in a time of change.

If you are ready to reconnect with yourself, explore the geometry of your body and its eco system — which has the potential to heal and reconcile with itself — I would love to walk alongside you.

TESTIMONIALS

"I had the pleasure of attending Gillian’s talk The Pursuit of Happiness – and How to Close the Gap at the Gross Global Happiness Summit, hosted by the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Gillian is a radiant speaker who walks the talk. With her unique perspective on embodied wisdom, she inspires audiences with deep insights, humour, and a powerful reconnection to the body. A true eye-opener - highly recommended!”

Katonah Yoga® is the framework I use to give my coaching its structure:

Founded by Nevine Michaan, Katonah Yoga blends classical Hatha yoga, Taoist wisdom, sacred geometry, and metaphor. Props such as blocks, straps, walls, blankets, and chairs are used creatively to support access, reveal structure, and refine intelligence in the pose. The practice also invites us to read the body as a map.

At its heart is the recognition that nature moves through cycles and seasons, and the human body—as nature in personal form—follows those same principles. When we understand the pattern, we participate more gracefully in change. Through repetition, skill, and imagination, we learn to compose ourselves more beautifully. We learn that the same body can be arranged in countless ways, just as the same notes can become symphony, jazz, prayer, or lullaby. Nevine says, ‘The body is the instrument, the mind the musician, the breath the tone. We play music, learn music, and listen to music to soothe the soul—both the personal soul and the collective one.’

Over time, I have developed a coaching practice that has become a language of fluency, a way to reorganise energy, to cultivate resilience, and meet life with more steadiness. It is a sophisticated and imaginative living system of self-understanding.

Together we can explore practical biomechanics, breath, intelligent alignment, mindfulness, and quiet moments where you restore, recover and nourish. Inside these rhythms, we can organise a new set of relationships: between effort and ease, structure and freedom, parts and whole, self and world.

These techniques offer you the freedom to participate consciously in the unfolding of your own life.
